Land Rover Defender available with "Black Design" or "Silver Design" packageSchwalbach – Two new design packages and standard anti-skid protection for the all-wheel drive legend: The attractive new "Black Design" and "Silver Design" equipment packages are making their debut in the 2015 model year of the Land Rover Defender, and all Defender variants are equipped with the DSC electronic stability program and ABS as standard in the 2015 model year. Furthermore, the British 4×4 specialist is giving the 2015 model versions of its indestructible icon, available from next August, a range of new options, such as two-tone leather seats, aluminum running boards, tinted windows and a classy Alston headliner.

Thanks to the new design packages and the additional options offered, Defender lovers are able to customize and visually enhance their vehicle. In addition, equipping the classic with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) gives the driver the peace of mind of knowing that, in the event of an impending skid, they can rely on important electronic helpers.

Dynamic Stability Control as standard

With the release of the 2015 model year, all Land Rover Defender are equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) as a standard feature. This means that the driving dynamics control is part of the package, as is ABS. Electronic Traction Control (ETC) as standard equipment on all new Defender. ABS, ETC and DSC are also available for the first time on the "long" Defender 130.

New options for the Defender

Dark-tinted side windows are now available as an option for the 4×4 classic Defender, and are generally included in the Black Design package. Are available in the Defender 90 and. 110 Station Wagon the windows of the second row are darkened as well as all other rear side windows. Only the rear door window must retain the standard glass for visibility reasons.

Another new option for the Defender range is the Alston headliner finished in black Ebony. It contrasts particularly well with the look of the Black Design package. This equipment element was previously more familiar from models such as the Range Rover.

However, the Defender can be refined even further. The new personalization choices also include an additional option on the body sides: side running boards in a silver aluminum look instead of the usual black design. Especially in combination with the new Silver Design package, the Defender looks brilliant here.

Furthermore, Land Rover dealers are offering a Technology Comfort Package for the 2015 model year for the Defender in E-base trim, which is equipped with air conditioning, audio system, front power windows and central locking, among other features.

When it comes to seating, Land Rover offers premium leather seats as an option for its perennial favorite – with inserts in Windsor premium leather on the front seats and either in dark Ebony throughout or as a two-tone solution in the color combinations Ebony/Pimento (black/dark red), Ebony/Tan (black/brown) or the black/grey Ebony/Lunar. Depending on the model version, this color scheme is also continued in the second and third row of seats. The look is rounded off with matching two-tone leather upholstery on the front center console box.

Finally, another option can be found in the color palette: With the 2015 model year, the new Yulong White paint color makes its debut in the Defender series. In addition, the color tones Montalcino Red are available. Scotia Grey newly eligible.

The Defender model year 2015 will be available at German Land Rover dealers from next August – orders can already be placed now. The price list starts at 31,290 euros for the 90 Station Wagon E version, while the Defender 110 Station Wagon is available at recommended retail prices from 34,690 euros and the 130 Crew Cab E model variant from 36,590 euros.
