The connectivity experience is seamless and intuitive

The Nissan Micra enters the 2018 model year with expanded equipment and new prices: the chic hatchback now comes with an improved Nissan Connect infotainment system, engines converted to Euro 6c and other product updates. Despite the upgrades, the price list in the future starts at 11.990 euros. That corresponds to one around 1.000 euros lower entry-level price.

The connectivity experience is seamless and intuitive. The smartphone is easily integrated into the vehicle system via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto®. Together with the extended functions of the new Nissan Connect, the full power of the mobile Internet can be used.

Even though the new Nissan Connect with seven-inch screen hardly differs visually from the previous system, the changes are profound. Nissan has reduced the number of buttons, but most importantly, the new capacitive display for multi-touch operation provides an entirely new user experience. The start screen of Nissan Connect can now be personalized, frequently used functions can be stored on the display and thus accessed directly. Alternatively, it can be operated via integrated voice control, which is activated at the touch of a button on the steering wheel.

Users will also benefit from an improved navigation system: in addition to a new search function and optimized zoom, the map material can now be updated up to four times a year free of charge – and for at least three years, wirelessly via smartphone "over-the-air".

The "Find my Car" function is also particularly practical: it saves the parking space of one's own car and navigates back to the correct location via smartphone. Also included with the new Nissan Connect navigation system are five years of so-called TomTom® services, which provide real-time traffic data for avoiding traffic jams, among other things. With the help of the smartphone app "Door-to-Door," the next trip can be planned in the office or at the breakfast table at home and conveniently sent to the vehicle. When you start the Micra, it has the right route guidance at the ready.

In addition to the Nissan Connect infotainment system, which is standard from the N-Connecta equipment and is already available for Acenta and the special model N-Way optional (750 euros), the Nissan Micra benefits from other innovations. The display between the instrument cluster, for example, now provides additional information such as missed phone calls and text messages. The redesigned parking sensors are more harmoniously integrated into the rear bumper. Standard features on both top trims include power rear windows and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Micra Tekna also comes with optional LED fog lights (600 euros).

The Nissan Micra is unchanged in the six equipment lines Visia (from 11.990 euros), Visia Plus (from 13.890 euros), N-Way (from 14.590 euros), Acenta (from 15.590 euros), N-Connecta (18.090 euros) and Tekna from (19.490 Euro) are available. Two gasoline engines are available for propulsion: the 1.0-liter four-cylinder with 52 kW/71 hp and a turbo three-cylinder with 0.9 liter displacement and 66 kW/90 hp. Both gasoline engines now meet the Euro 6c emissions standard.
