"In the 1960s, you could buy a Triumph or a Cobra, get to the track in it, tape over the headlights, and then enter the race", Glickenhaus enthuses to 'dailysportscar.Com' and adds: "After that you drove home again and with it to work the next morning. This era of racing has always fascinated me."
"I went to McLaren and asked them about how to develop a car. They said: 'That's great, give us ten million dollars and we'll build you one.I said, 'No, I don't want to race with you, I want to race against you and your P1 cars,'" he said. Ferrari and Porsche and all the others told me the same thing, so I figured I had to start from scratch."
The result is now the SCG 003, which will be presented at the Motor Show: "Our plan is to offer the SCG 003 in Geneva as a car that can be purchased. So they (the customers; note. D. Red.) participate and race. I think the more people see what we are trying to do with this car and what we are trying to achieve with the design, the more of them will join us on this journey."
