Choice of motorhome or caravan
Alone the color of the camper or the caravan can become in the summer a crucial factor. Dark colors look very stylish, but in summer they turn into a real heat accumulator. Lighter shades reflect the sun.

The reflection by means of the right color can be further enhanced with a Cooldry UV-protective coating. The dispersion paint applied contains reflective components that can reflect up to 90 percent of the sun's energy. According to tests of manufacturers, the temperature in the motorhome can be lowered by 15 degrees Celsius this way.

Choosing the right place for the camper or caravan can be crucial for a relaxing vacation. Above all, the mobile shelter should be in the shade to avoid direct sunlight.
The classic air conditioner should not be missing as a tip, but many models prove to be very loud and are real power guzzlers. A power outage in this context can have devastating effects.

Before the first rays of sun hit the motorhome, awnings can be valuable shade providers. These prevent the interior from heating up when set up at a particular angle.
The optimal ventilation starts early in the morning on hot summer days. If a pleasant coolness still prevails, be sure to open all windows and doors to provide a draught. During the day, keep the windows and doors closed to prevent the warm air from coming in.

Rescue blanket for the skylights
Reflective window protection for the skylights is also available in stores – but it's the camper's own responsibility. Apply the classic rescue blankets to the windows from the outside. In combination with the blinds, the heat is kept away.
Fans& Ice bath
If you have the possibility to get ice cubes, they can be put into a bowl about two hours before going to bed. With a fan next to it, the delightfully cool air is excellently distributed in the camper or caravan.
Cooling mats, which are available for purchase as pillow pads or mattress toppers, can be used as a perfect cooling pad before sleep. The cold is released by pressure. If the pressure is released, the cooling mat regenerates itself without the need for electricity or a cold supply.
Damp cloths in front of the windows
If the heat radiation is particularly large, damp cloths before the window have a large effect. The humidity provides some refreshment in case of too much heat.
Pillowcase or pajamas in the fridge
If you need a little cooling down while sleeping, you should put your pillowcase or pajamas in the fridge a short time before going to bed.
Turning a hot water bottle into a cold water bottle
The classic hot water bottle can also bring a reverse effect. Ice-cold water or small ice cubes provide pleasant coolness in bed, which lasts relatively long.
A warm shower
This may sound unrefreshing at first glance, but the body has developed its own strategy in this regard. To compensate for the heat of the shower, the body cools itself down. The effect is optimal before sleeping.
