As Front Office Manager, I witnessed the reopening of the Leo- nardo Royal Hotel Munich and subsequently served as Rooms Division Manager in charge of the Front Office and Housekeeping divisions. At the beginning of this year, I moved to the Leonardo Hotel Munich City Olympiapark as Operations Manager, and had the opportunity to experience this hotel at the 01.04.2015 to open with. My dream was actually the vacation hotel business, to work in a beautiful hotel somewhere in the mountains. But as luck would have it, my internship hotel was a business hotel in the middle of Stuttgart, and from there the path went in a completely different direction… N The special thing about Leonardo Hotels is… …The speed with which this hotel chain has developed over the last 4 to 5 years. When I started at Leonardo Hotels in 2010, I came from a large international hotel chain and the first thing I asked for was the standards manual. This did not exist at the time, which made it very exciting to be able to actively participate in the design. N When I travel myself, I attach particular importance to… In addition to cleanliness, I personally value cordiality& the feeling of being welcome is very important. When that's the case, not everything has to be perfect. N What I miss most when I stay in a hotel… As a Dutchwoman, I usually travel by car (without a caravan, mind you). This has the advantage of less consideration for the weight of the luggage. That's why I always have more with me than I need, and there's hardly anything I'm missing in the hotel. N What do you always have with you when you travel? Lying quietly on the beach and reading a book or doing nothing is not my strong point. Therefore, I have my golf equipment in the summer. In winter always the skis with me. Unfortunately I do far too little sport in Munich. I try to make up for all this during my vacation. I n January 2015, the Leonardo Hotels in Munich grew.
