The Range Rover Evoque remains the "value champion" in its class. The trade magazine Auto Bild and the valuation organization Schwacke determined the models with the highest value from the enormous wealth of the German motor vehicle market. In the compact SUV category, the Range Rover Evoque is once again at the forefront. With a predicted residual value of 64.99 percent after four years, the Evoque P250 takes the title of "value champion," as it did the year before. The data from more than 50.000 different car models were included in this year's evaluation – in a total of 13 vehicle classes, the applicants with the highest value retention were chosen as "Value Champion 2020. In view of the Corona crisis, the organizers decided not to hold a formal awards ceremony – but the "value champion" trophy for the Evoque will nevertheless find a place in Land Rover's display cabinets.

For 17 years, Auto Bild and Schwacke have been dissecting the German car market in their search for the "kings of resale. In their comprehensive survey and market analysis, product specialists and market researchers look less at the development of used car prices in the past – rather, they forecast value retention over the next four years. "The value champions reward stable value and thus those who have done many things right in the past and who, with their current models, hit the nerve and expectations of future used car customers," says Auto Bild, outlining the philosophy of the highly regarded competition.

Auto Bild and Schwacke devote their data collection to a whole range of model-relevant factors. This includes product concept, quality and design, as well as prices, operating costs and product cycles. The competition includes models in 13 vehicle categories, with over 50.000 different passenger car models under the microscope. In total, the auto valuers compiled data from more than 1.7 million monthly market observations for a forecast of future residual values.

In the very large compact SUV class, the Range Rover Evoque defends its title from the previous year: The popular Briton can once again call itself "value champion" – it takes the class title ahead of the Skoda Kodiaq and the Toyota RAV4.

Auto Bild and Schwacke tested the Range Rover Evoque in the P250 model variant with a 184 kW (250 PS) gasoline engine, which is available from 48.550.- Euro is available. The variant with optional equipment was evaluated at a total price of 70.245 euros after four years based on an annual mileage of 15.000 kilometers, a loss in value of 24.593 euros and thus a residual value of 64.99 percent.

The Range Rover Evoque thus once again adds the attributes "particularly stable in value" and "future-proof" to its multi-faceted profile. The Range Rover Evoque practically created the class of compact premium SUVs in the first place – and it has left a decisive mark on it. Current, completely redeveloped second generation model still presents an unmistakable iconic design. At the same time it combines the great heritage. The claim of the legendary Range Rover with state-of-the-art technology.

The current Range Rover Evoque is available as a D150 with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel with 110 kW (150 hp) at prices from 38.100,00 € available. Leasing offers on the occasion of Range Rover's 50th anniversary start at 379.- Euro/month, without down payment, with a total mileage of 30.000km and a term of 36 months.
