Vehicles powered by renewable electricity make ecological and economic sense and do not cause climate-damaging emissions. That's why the state of Lower Austria is promoting the purchase of electric vehicles. Every fifth electric car in Austria is already registered in Lower Austria. Test events like the e-mobility day in Melk make electric mobility tangible for the general population. Should encourage even more people to switch to the mobility form of the future.
Get on board and test, test, test
Admission at the e-Mobility Day 2017 is at 9 a.M., from 10 a.M. To 5 p.M. Everything that moves electrically on one, two or four wheels can then be tested to your heart's content at the test site in Melk. Once again this year, more than 50 electric car models – from the Tesla to the e-Golf – will be ready for a spin around the Ring. In the RADLand experience world everything revolves around single-track means of transport such as electric motorcycles, electric bikes, electric scooters, Segways and Co. In total, more than 70 exhibitors will present themselves at the e-Mobility Day 2017.

Electric mobility is a topic that moves the whole of Europe. That's why the e-Mobility Day offers all international visitors – experts and members of international networks in the energy sector – a very special program: the test track for electric cars will be opened for them already at 09.45 clock released (registration required, see below). From 10.15 to 12 o'clock a workshop in English language offers then the opportunity for the cross-border exchange of experiences, Good Practice and Lessons Learned within the range electrical mobility. Impulse lectures will be contributed from different regions of Europe and are intended to bring the participants from networks such as the European Region Danube-Moldova (EDM), the Working Community Danube Countries, the European Alpine Space Strategy (EUSALP), the cooperation of Lower Austria and Slovak circles, etc. To inspire new, joint projects.
Experience day for the whole family and for all senses
For the physical well-being is naturally also ensured and the Schmankerlmarkt of the Kulinarik initiative "So schmeckt Niederösterreich" invites to take Gustostückerl from Lower Austria also home with you. Last but not least, the numerous natural and cultural treasures in the immediate vicinity, such as the Benedictine monastery Stift Melk and the picturesque landscape of the Wachau, also want to be discovered.
