
KSV kitzingen’s traditional club championship recently took place to mark the end of the season. According to a press release from the club, the tournament is an important competition. the club champion was determined in the categories youth, masters and active lifters.
In the youth category katharina fischer won with 246 sinclair points (scp) ahead of elmas altinsoy with 205 scp. Both are only 13 years old. Fischer showed a remarkable performance with 47 kilograms in the snatch and 60 kilograms in the clean and jerk. also altinsoy on second place was very strong with 43 kilograms in the snatch and 48 kilograms in the clean and jerk. In the master class karl-heinz schwenkert dominated. With six valid attempts, he showed 59 kilograms in the snatch and 76 kilograms in the clean and jerk to finish with 306 sinclair melzer points.
Eight competitors took part in the active lifters’ class. Last year’s winner armin uhl had to take a break due to a severe cold, so stefan abmann and benjamin uhl hoped to have a chance of winning the title. in the end, julian seuffert reached third place with 57 relative points (rel-pkt), benjamin uhl came in second with 72.6 rel-pkt and a weight of 132 kilograms in the clean and jerk. the winner was stefan abmann, who achieved 73.6 rel-points. The challenge cup was handed over to the new club champion stefan abmann by last year’s winner and department head armin uhl.
